Nate Nelson is an undergraduate student at Ohio University, majoring in political science and minoring in world religions. He is a columnist for OU’s student-run newspaper, The Post. Nate is also an associate member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, Alpha Omega Zeta, and a member of Students for a Democratic Society. Except for a brief and torrid summer fling with the Republican party, Nate has been a lifelong Democrat and currently identifies with the democratic socialist political philosophy. Essentially, Nate believes that both government and the economy should be subject to the democratic process.
In his spare time – a myth, really – Nate engages in such time-honored college traditions as tipping a few with friends, watching movies (preferably horror), eating crappy dining hall food, and (his favorite) sleeping. When he’s not being forced to cram 100 pages of textbook every weekday night, he also reads. His favorite authors include Stephen King, Anne Rice, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, Marion Zimmer Bradley, and Madeleine L’Engle.
Questions, comments, and the occasional insult can be directed at Nate via the comments on this blog or by e-mail. All correspondence is bloggable unless you request otherwise.

Ah, who hasn’t had a torrid fling with the Republican party?
